Hello, my name is Melissa- which is half of Melou, Melissa and Louise. 

I’m a 46-year-old artist and designer with a lifelong passion for creativity in many forms. My journey began at Bath City College, where I studied Art & Design GNVQ before specialising in silversmithing and jewellery design. Along the way, I also explored stained glass and photography, each adding new depth and inspiration to my work.

In my 20s, I sold handmade jewellery at Bath University, sharing unique, wearable pieces crafted with care. Over time, my creativity expanded into contemporary art — bold, modern canvases combining acrylics and oils. These works found homes with friends, family, and now, a growing audience online.

Today, my shop brings together years of experimenting, learning, and creating. Whether it’s jewellery, artwork, or something in between, everything I make is rooted in a love for design, detail, and self-expression.

The range of patterns on our products are made by both Louise and myself, using a blend of both digital art and paint to create these abstract, colourful designs.
